Trimmers - Jeff in Boise
« on: January 16, 2024, 01:23:45 PM »
Trimmers, a/k/a Jeff in Boise, a/k/a Jeff McVey, died yesterday.  I spoke briefly with his daughter today - who mentioned that he, being an orderly guy, had left a list a people to notify.  Ah, I thought - we should all be so good!

I don't have further details to pass along other than my condolences to those that knew Jeff.  May he Rest in Peace.

Jeff?s daughter called this morning. What a shock. He was just diagnose a month age with leukemia. He was a great guy. He would stop by our office whenever he was inspecting helicopters in our area. I am glad to have arranged for him to be a licensed  FIA  Scrutineer and to be able to spend time with him in Bolivia. His daughter will let me know about pending services. And I will post it here.

I'm not sure, but I think that the SCTA banquet poster - showing the 7707 AA/BFRMR of Geoff Stillwell - also shows Jeff standing on the far side of the car.  Hope so - it'd be a great (if unintended) salute to him.

GodSpeed Jeff... my condolences to the family.  He was a great guy to chat with about racing...
Jeff created some red hat stickers and passed them out at Bonneville... I have some on the Bockscar.
