The book about Rosco McGlashan
« on: November 03, 2023, 10:25:23 PM »
I'm on the "e-mailing list" for updates from Rosco McGlashan, and the recent message from him offered (a limited number or
for a limited time) a free Kindle version of the book about him, written by Mark Read.  So I ordered it, and am now reading it.

It's an easy read, and I am enjoying it a lot.  Having been a fan of land speed racing for more than 50 years, the "technical"
parts are easy for me to understand, and I find the book very interesting.  I plan to buy a printed (conventional) copy of it
soon.

Mainly, I just wanted to share my opinion of it all.

I may even contribute a little bit of money to Rosco's Aussie Invader project.  It's too late to help Craig Breedlove or Ed Shadle or Steve Fossett, and it looks like Richard Noble and Andy Green are no longer currently active with their Bloodhound SST project.  But Rosco seems like he's still "in it to win it" with AI5R, his fifth Aussie Invader car.

aussieinvader.com is Rosco's website for the 1,000 mph project. Check it out. Lots of information. Also, I read the book and it holds up well.
