John Noonan
« on: October 23, 2023, 05:29:42 PM »
I understand John went down on El Mirage last Sunday at the SCTA meet. Reported to be over 200 at the time. I have read on the SDRC website, John SCTA member Club, he was in the hospital. John has probably more 200+mph runs on 2 wheels that anyone at El Mirage. My prayers are with him?

From what little I know --

The course was "okay" until after the lights, and past that it was rougher and may have contributed to the event.  He was reported to have been picked up by an airlift that interrupted his transport and took him to Loma Linda Hospital near San Bernardino

I believe this is his third get-off at speed after an incident a few years ago at El Mirage and another prior at the old Mojave pavement event.

Message from the family: John has successfully finished all of the surgeries. Everything is pointing towards a long, but full recovery. They ask to keep him in your prayers?

Johns breathing tube has been removed, he stated his name when asked, he is sitting up and watching TV. All this sounds great and mending has started..
