Here's what Monte said last July:

"Sporty, we do not have a fuel supplier at WOS. You will have to bring your own with you. Just be aware that you can use what ever gasoline you want but if you qualify for a record, your gasoline will be tested to make sure it meets the rules specifications."

I was thinking since VP didn't make many sales this year at SW and left early they may show up

There will not be a gasoline/fuel supplier at WOS. So the information remains the same as stated prior. You can run whatever gasoline you would like, however if you qualify for a record, it will be tested to make sure it meets the specification as stated in the current rule book.

Bring your own fuel is good news for langlo racing and the 222 Camaro looking Forword to using
some of the $300 of VP16 and a time over 300mph.

Troy will now make reservations , A lot less than speed week

   See you there.

One last thing, apparently VP is hard to get in Ca, so if that?s where you live start looking. I found a guy in Turlock, about an hour south of me, the guy we usually use said he has none and no dates on deliveries, my Pop called the VP HQ in Santa Rosa and they said not a big enough market in Ca so slim Pickens. Just a heads up.

Interesting, I literally just purchased 15 gallons of VP M-1 methanol at the Santa Rosa VP dealer. Not sure if they inventory much of the high performance gasolines but they seemed to have plenty of methanol. The dealer is Reladyne which formally was North Coast fuel (I think). Phone is 707 236 8508. Talk to Nick.

Is there a list that shows the fuels that meet the "gasoline" requirement.  I'm having some difficulty finding VP locally but can get Sunoco.

If you don't think you will be running for a record the any fuel is fine, if that's not the case then you need to run VP. You can see a list of approved fuels on the Speed Week 2023 section of this forum

As previously mentioned, there will not be a gasoline/fuel supplier at the World of Speed. Racers will need to bring their own supply of gasoline or fuel.
You can run any gasoline that you choose, however if you qualify for a record, a sample of the gasoline will be taken from the vehicle and tested to see if
it meets the specifications as outlined in the current rule book. If the gasoline passes the test, your tank will be sealed so you can make the return run.
You may also bring a sealed can of approved VP gasoline and the inspectors will work with you to put the gas into the vehicle and then seal the tank of the vehicle and reseal
the can.  If you need to refill the vehicle, you will need to get an inspector to help you go through the process again of breaking the seals on the can and the tank and then
resealing both.
If you do not have a local supplier of VP Racing Gasoline, there is a supplier in North Salt Lake that can help you. They carry all of the SCTA approved VP race gasoline in
sealed 5 gallon cans.
The supplier is: Thomas Petroleum,  1117 North 400 East, North Salt Lake, Utah.  They can be reached by phone: (801) 397-8302. Please be sure to call ahead to make sure
they have the type and quantities that you require.

I got this list from the SCTA Facebook site:  The approved VP gasolines.

VP C10
VP C12
VP C14
VP C16
VP C25
VP 110
VP MS100
VP MR12
X14

Thanks for this info Monte. I'd be very curious to see if MR12 passes your test for approved gasoline. It is highly oxygenated, and is bound to have an impact on gas class records in the future. Thanks, Dean
