Here's the spare for the truck.   The tire is a temporary, but the wheel is what I'm looking for.  Sure looks okay to me.

The factory wheels will probably work - I've got a tab-mounting jig from Moon that'll confirm the possibility that Stainless is correct.  At least they've got a correct number of spokes.

Excellent.....All you need is 3 more of those wheels and 4 tires. The spare wheel is 17"... Your tires are 18".
I`d never advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...But they work for me.

Very observant, Jerry.  I'm going to buy a second set of tires anyway, and 18" skins cost more than their 17" bretheren, so that's fine.  I've also got a 16" steel spare from the old truck, so maybe I'll scare up a set of 16s.  No, I won't mix 'em.

O.k.....And the tire pressure monitors will work with the temp. spare wheels?..And you might want to test fit that 16 inch wheel on the front axle, There WILL be a clearance issue. Carry on, J.B. out.

Pressure monitors aren't a worry, and I use a 4-hose manifold to inflate 'em equally.

As for clearance - sure, I'll check, but everybody and his brother guaranteed similar fitment issues with 1" undersize wheels on my two previous pickups.  "They absolutely will not fit!", said many.  They fit just dandy, but I'll admit that was over only 300,000 miles.  Maybe I shoulda tested longer to find that misfit...

Yeah, and it's never been to Bonneville.  Maybe I'll check the spare from my previous truck (I kept it) and see what it looks like after 4 trips to Bville.

John, try this site, https://www.carid.com/spare-wheels.html, we bought some wheels from them when we needed a 17 x 4 inch rim.

Close, Rex.  In fact - I can get what I want through them.  Thanks.  But I gotta say I'm surprised that I thought it'd be simple enough to find a junk yard and get the spares off wrecks.  Problem:  No junkyards anywhere near me.

Years ago I had Moons on a Camaro.  Had them on with tapped screws.  Pain in the ass to check inflation, plus the wheels flexed and the screws work thru the disc and they'd fly off.  Dzus fittings negate this problem.

Another option is to relocate the inflation plugs to the inside.  About half of them will be accessible half the time!

When faced with this problem I found that there were no steel wheels available that wouldn't also require me replacing my 4 brand new tires. My solution was to machine 3 special lug nuts per wheel that came out to the face of the wheel, with tapped holes in them. Then I had some discs laser cut, added some felt tape, and done.

Now admittedly, it was several days of manual machining after work, has probably destroyed the finish on my factory wheels, and I need to carry a hex set with me everywhere, but hey it looks cool.
