2022 Maine Event. In staging lanes we see Ohio's Richie Noe and crew chief Daryl Victor with "Noe Time" a 1930 Ford Model A Sedan. Entered in E/PRO (4 Liter / Production) Richie ran 92.054 mph.  No bad for an antique flat front sedan with bad aerodynamics powered with a 3.8 Buick V6.

I'm sure Paul will never forget that ----- "Next vehicle on the course is -----L422" 40 times!

I was there trying to match Heyder's 250 2-stroke water cooled motocrosser with my 1968 Bridgestone air cooled rotary valved classic in the 350 2-stroke class, and was quite pleased to surpass his record with a 113.003 mph record.

Tom

He did wear a rut into the course.  If you designed and built one of your aero packages you could get another 30 mph.

2015 Maine Event. In the staging lanes we see the Lone Star State's Fred Vance on the Vance and Forstall Racing Team's Suzuki Hayabusa number 473. This well designed extensively aerodynamic bike set the record for MPS/F-2000/4 (Modified Partial Streamlined / Fuel - 2000 cc / 4 Stroke) at 234.855 mph. Fred and Larry Forstall teamed up to get the big inch record in overhead cam motorcycles.

2016 Harvest Event.  At the starting line we see the 200 MPH Club inducting a new member.  Jason White is handing the white hat to his dad Fran White.  He set the record in B/BGGT at 217.924 mph.  This was back early in the career of Rec Mec Racing when the black C6 Corvette was still relatively mild and ran a ProCharger.  Jason currently holds the B/BFMS record at 269.673 mph. In Stacy Robey's photo left to right: Joe Timney, Carl Theriault, Don Hass, Jason White, Fran White, Greg Neal, Donna Timney, Rachel Johnson, Derek Toti.

2016 Maine Event.  In the pits we see Mark Dotson on "Mark the Mechanic Race Team" Suzuki Hayabusa number 1315.  He set the record in A/G-2000/4 (Altered / Gas 2000 cc / 4 stroke) at 204.171 mph.  A real challenge on a bike with no fairing that is all motor.

2017 Maine Event. At the starting line, ready to launch we see Caribou native Carl Theriault driving "Zoom Zoom Zoom Racing" number  9769 fox body Mustang.  He set the record for A/BFALT (8 Liter / Blown Fuel Altered) at 223.676 mph.  The short wheel base made for interesting launches but Carl demonstrated great control.  He was 2 mph away from needing a second chute.  Stacy Robey photo

Maine Event. In the pit area we see 3 very accomplished motorcycle riders. Left to right: Donna Timney, Racheal Johnson, Brenda Sue Carver. They each hold land speed records at Loring over 200 mph. These ladies certainly know how to ride motorcycles.

Joe, remember this one in 2012?  No, I was not the pilot!  The guy had a letter from the manufacturer of the front wheels certifying them for 180 mph or so.  I don't remember how fast he went, but well over 100mph.

2012 Maine Event.  At speed we see Roland Morrison on his street luge number 6250. It is powered by a Harley Davidson Evo 1200cc Sportster engine.  Roland went 169.460 mph in TO (time only) as there is no class that the machine conforms to.  Interesting engineering with H-D rear swingarm suspension and brakes.  It had a hand operated shifter and clutch.  The 4 front caster wheels came with a manufacturers certification speed rating of 180 mph at 500 lbs load. Steering was accomplished by twisting the chassis similar to a tobaggan.

there is an onboard video on YouTube from the 169 mph pass at Loring.  I was informed of another video from World of Speed but couldn't locate it..

2017 Harvest Event.  In staging lanes we see the "Quick Silver" Racing number 9160 C5 Corvette.  The Poole family traveled from Armada, Michigan on a mission to get white hats. They entered their car in B/BGT (7 Liter / Blown Grand Touring) and took turns driving. Grandfather, father and son each set a record bumping the record their team member set in progression to get all 3 in the 200 MPH Club. Taking a guess I think the correct order is;
Son - Thomas Poole Jr 201.123 mph
Father - Thomas Poole 201.435 mph
Grandfather - Randy Poole 203.874 mph
I believe this is the first time in land speed racing 3 generations made the 200 MPH Club at the same event.
