2013 Harvest Event.  At the big end with a good chute we see Massachusetts Team G-Series Racing's number 7100 1971 Dodge Daytona Wing Car.  Driven by Gary Bieneke to a record speed of 209.478 mph in class AA/GCT (Unlimited displacement / Gas Circle Track).  Gary and Pam Beineke have 2 wing cars that they built in their home shop. A Plymouth  in Richard Petty Livery and the Dodge in Bobby Isaac Livery. These winged cars were built as concept cars. Chrysler built their last official winged car in 1970.  They were constructed for the most part from materials made from the rare Unobtainium.  A lot work and engineering went into building this fleet.  Pam and Gary have raced these cars at a number of land speed events including World of Speed at Bonneville.  Josh Bate photo.

Wow that was a very long time ago {2009} our rookie season.  :-D
We built the car from the ground up as a Lakester powered by a 258 CI Ford flathead V-8 with a 671 GMC blower. Learned a lot every run we made at Maxton, Loring and Wilmington. Same car we run today now converted to a Rear Engine Modified Roadster. Maxton as a Lakester we ran 160 Wilmington as a Lakester we ran 170 Loring as a REMR were now over 200 still Ford flathead powered.
           Good times with good friends.

If I had that, I'd put on headlights, taillights, and a muffler and cruise around town on summer nights!

Maine Event 2023 was a great racing event. We had unfavorable forecast every day and only lost this morning to rain. 3 great days. Fastest speed goes to Ron Keselowki who went 257 mph in the mile in his Corvette.
