Joyce Jensen
« on: November 02, 2022, 08:29:09 PM »
It is with heavy heart that I have been told by the Secretary of SDRC that Joyce Jensen has past away. She was the daughter of Bob Higbee and literally grew up with the SCTA. She was the main stay of the registration trailer and ran that show with Warren Bullis for more years than I can count. After the untimely death of her first husband she married Jim Jensen who became an assistant starter under his father-in-law Bob. There are no details as of yet. Jim asks for a little time alone..

I missed Joyce this past SpeedWeek.  Missed her in the reg. trailer, missed her at the lunch meetings on the setup days before racing, missed her at poolside, missed her.  Rest in Peace, Joyce.

This is very sad news, Joyce has been my good friend for the last 25-30 years... it was my privilege to be her escort to the 200 MPH Club banquet for the last 15 years.   She was a lady with a big heart, taking in a lot of foster children over the years.  Joyce had the respect of every Bonneville racer.
GodSpeed Joyce, you will be missed by all of us.  Jim, you and the rest of the family have my sincere condolences.

Joyce was a very loving lady, and a good friend. She opened her heart to help people in need. It was always a honor to have her as our guest at the 2 club banquet.  My condolence to her loved ones and her family. RIP Joyce we will all remember you
