Rumer is it will be open by Friday. We have 5 days of hot weather that will help. But do not know for sure.

This is a crop from the SCTA pics on FB, not sure where this is on the lakebed, but looks awful. I was hoping to drive out for the November meet, but I can't imagine this could heal in a month.  :?

What scale is that photo? Are those cracks in the lake bed something a narrow wheel might drop into while you're out there?
Or are they big enough for you to lose your entire car and support vehicle?

Feel bad for everyone out that way after Bonneville Speed Week, El Mirage September meet, Bonneville World Finals and now this.
Not to mention Speed Week at Lake Gairdner in South Australia earlier this year.

They have been filling these cravases for more then a few years now. They are large I would guess around 6" deep or more.

Let me put it this way, I wouldn't want to drive your car over it.

HOLY CRAP that's going to take a lot of dirt to fill in.

BUT where is it in relation to the course?

We had these ruts in the past and they were coned off and not on the course. Race on.

  Hopefully the case.

Of course, the BLM is in charge of filling but seems some help came from the SCTA or a member.
