Is there an advantage to dual spark plugs on a blown flathead?
If so where should they be located?

from Mike Davidsons flathead fever 2 .

In the Heads on my supercharged race engines  , i have fitted duals .  I use B9ES above the valve and a B10ES in the transfer area and for the Offenhauser cylinder heads i would fit B7HS  , for competion ,which is the same heat range as the Champion B10 , but with longer thread .

As an asside Mike is now in a nursing home  as his illness just got the better of him .

Never felt any need for dual plugs on a flathead. Every record we have set over the last few years running our supercharged gas burning flathead engines has been with a single plug NGK brand and a very good ignition system that takes no horsepower to turn.
