Motorcycle Landspeed Racing gets divine intervention
« on: May 25, 2022, 12:34:46 PM »
So, around 12-13 years ago at the then BUB meet a dark rain shaft was moving towards us.
A few riders said "well, looks like that's it for today".
My response was to say Oh No, God likes landspeed racing, and he wouldn't let that happen.
I no sooner said that when the rain shaft split apart and went on either side of the race course and pits.
It traveled past us staying that way until about the 10-12 mile marker then joined back together.
The look on their faces was priceless. HAhahahaha.
And you can take that as Gospel. 🙂

p.s.
Thanks God, you're alright.

p.s.s.
Hope to see you all this coming August

That's a scary sight. I was there in impound just packing up after my bike was inspected. That rain squall motivated us to get out of the pits. On the drive back to the hotel the truck and trailer got a good rinsing off. No salt was left on the truck after that wet 5 mile drive! Yay!

My time on the salt is pretty laid back. Until we see the weather moving in then we all get rather motivated. The 5 minutes at the start of the weather hitting the pits are always very interesting times.  :-o
