All you really need is a place to shower and sleep.  Stayed at all of them I think, it is part of the adventure.

Jack, were you in the room next to the eight of us at the Patio back in the day?  Hope we didn't keep you up or run you out of water.

WATER ?
With somebody asleep in the tub, another with his head in the toilet, you couldn't get to the sink if it did work.
That was the El Patio where the night manager went to our room once to bum a smoke and we had to tell him we couldn't afford it because we race.
Or was that Tucson or maybe Dallis ?

In 1981, we stayed in the Patio. We had to go out and get our own tissue and toilet paper. We felt greatful for a room over our heads. We bar-b-qued oysters on the slab and had a great time. JackD may have even snuck over and stole some. They were fresh from the Pacific Coast.
