engine class change question , is a new frame number required with an engine class change . from K to H engine . speed wise , would still be the same  -build - safety - requirements as the K class . under 125 mph.      thanks.   bob

Frame number and log book never changes unless you build a new vehicle.  Depending on vehicle, there could be lots of safety changes regardless of how fast you think you might go.  Safety requirements are based on record speed of the class or if it is a new class, SCTA expected speed for the class.

What class are you running and or changing to.

diesel streamliner , was K class , I did set the record in that class at WOS in 2019 . kinda melted that engine at speed weak 1n 2020. now have an H engine ready to go . record in that class now is 123 . so the safety requirements I have now , are more then ok .
