what tire growth (clearance for guard) would we expect to see in a Goodyear #D2954 (25"x4.5"x 15") LSR Tire at 250mph at 70psi ??

Somewhere in here I've seen some of that info.... just seems to me it's about an inch... but the best info might come from Rex Svoboda or Tom Burkland... they have test a lot of tires.
Send them a PM  Rex is 631, Tom Burkland is yep...his name

When I bought mine I reached out to the Goodyear engineer For Drag race and land speed tires. His name was Dave Farwell. He told me 25.7 inches. When I figured my speed and RPM to calculate tire spin, 25.7 worked out perfectly and I was able to determine I had no tire spin.

Tom & Rex did the spin testing for Goodyear so contacting ether of them is your best bet to get a real number.
I have the 18X30's all round & they require 1-1/2" min clearance.

If you could spin them to 6000rpm, that'd be one fast lakester Mate! 8-)
