All those guys were my heroes growing up in the confines of the city of Chicago. I had to buy a 1953 Studebaker in 1960, just to feel the vibes of that "streamlined" road car. Not a hotrod, just a drive-in ride. They looked good on the salt!
I did the same thing in 1961. Mine had no motor but was set up for a Chrysler and had a '57 Thunderbird hood scoop. Get this. I bought from a little old lady from Pasadena.
