OK, take a breath... Pete just spent a little time in surgery and he is doing fine.  For those that don't have a great grasp on LSR history, Pete was one of the guys that built the Blue Flame... the last American car to hold the outright Land Speed Record... Still holds the rocket powered Land Speed Record.  He, Ray Dausman and Dick Keller (MayoMan) were the guys that formed Reaction Dynamics and built the Blue Flame.

Pete, get well and stay well! We are both getting a little long of tooth these days. Almost 72 years since we set the absolute world land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats with our great Reaction Dynamics team. I am having some repairs done now as well. The doctors keep telling me we are past our "sell by..." date. Let's keep fooling them.

WOODY! DUHH! Can I blame my shaky fingers while typing?
I think the little grey cells misfired. Happens too often lately.
Pete needs to hang in there. Maybe donate that beautifully restored X-1 to the Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. It opened a new era in the sport. Maybe not good for drag racing, but it worked for land speed racing. muutt

Hey Pete,

Best wishes for recovery to get well soon.   I know only too well that ageing is a *?*!*?*!

Take good care of yourself, it's up to you.

All our best,

Hey MAYOMAN,

The physical skills are the second thing to go . . . . . .  AND, I can't remember what the first thing to go is . . . . . .

Cheers,
