Did you get ice cream?
They always promise me ice cream,  but I never get it.
Glad to hear you're doing good Nancy, and make sure Jon spoils you!

Yanno, when I was a kid, hundreds of years ago, Nancy's adventure was hardly even in the realm of science fiction.  But now?

Two weeks ago we found out that Nancy has had a tumor growing slowly in her head.  The thing was about the 6 cm diameter.  It was benign - no cancer, no pain, no symptoms, nothing.  But still, she had a freaking tennis ball inside her skull.  Years ago it would have been a pretty dangerous issue requiring lots of care and time.  That was then.      And now?

She came home today, three days after the surgery.  As she went to bed I asked about pain meds so she could sleep better - and she said "no thanks".  Not even Tylenol.

I'm pleased and impressed and she's doing really well.  Thanks to all of you for the support and love.   :clap :clap

I expect some of you would like to know her state of getting all better, hey?  Here's a quick report:

Nancy suffered a seizure in mid-September - her first indication that anything was amiss.  She went to the hospital, was scanned and MRI-ed and X-rayed and Ultra-Violated and they found a meningioma - a non-cancerous growth in her skull.  It'd likely been growing for a couple of years.  It was about 6cm dia -- about 2 1/3 inches, or just a titch smaller than a tennis ball.  TENNIS BALL!!!  Three weeks ago today the surgeon removed it (used a 2" hole saw I lent her so I could feel more a part of the get-well-soon crowd.  It was brand new, from the hole saw kit I got from Rob Freyvogel some years back).

Anyway, Nancy has been home for 2 1/2 weeks after having all that stuff done - and WTF?, she has yet to take even a Tylenol for pain relief.  I didn't expect the total lack of ouchitude.  No narc pills, no vodka, no nuthin'.

Other than some laziness that lingers - she's doing pretty danged well and quite enjoying her forced hiatus from the salt mines of the Upper Peninsula.  And -- ready for this?  She's already TOLD me that she's going to go to SpeedWeek 2022.

How 'bout them apples?

Is the lack of ouchitude related to her being a her or to being one very fast motorcyclist I ask rhetorically?

Great news Slim - I have not met Nancy but I am in awe.
A Bonneville Lakester please barman.
Certainly sir; a lick of salt, a sip of gas and a twist of Lemming. More Lemming sir?
Just a squeeze.

A Squeeze of Lemming it is sir.

Looking forward to seeing her again at Bonneville.  Her sparkle lights up the Drivers Meeting.

Well, maybe.  She's going to spend most of the time with her boys in SLC but she'll be on the salt some.  Baby steps. . .

Nancy, I'm looking forward to seeing my favorite colored girl at the salt again....
Did you ever peel my TOT note off the bike?

For those that have not met Nancy she is brightly colored... reds, blues, greens, black and yellows as I recall... maybe more that only Slim sees....  :-o
