The 130 MPH Club is set up to run from the start line to the 1 mile mark. The first timing light for the 130 is set right at the the mile survey mark. The timing trap is 132 feet in length and extends past the the mile mark for that distance. So the entrants are instructed to stay on the accelerator for the 132 feet past the mile board. I hope this helps clear things up.

SSS, did you see what the new owner of my old #787 Studebaker went?  He upped the AA/AGALT record to 287 MPH. Time slip shows 291 exit speed.
