Is there a limit for number of engines used

Hi guys seen that some record holders are using more than one engine is there a limit to amount of engines aslong as the displacement is the same

Check 2.A in the Rule Book.

The question was asked in the BMST venue section. The AMA rule book, page 310 for A class (altered frames) states "a. Any combination of motorcycle engines, not to
exceed two is allowed. Combined engine displacement cannot exceed maximum of 3000cc."
