Thanks Ronnie, Bolivia makes sense. Was that record certified yet? Crazy fast.

I will wade into the cesspool of FB I guess...

I just made it home from the salt and had a great time!

Good weather
Hard salt
Not much wind
Beer
Wildfire smoke
Terrible mexican food
Carmen's
Super cool people

I can't say enough about the BMST Staff, Volunteers, Tech guys, ...everybody.
I am very happy to have got to meet and hang out with such a great group of racers.

and    I SET A RECORD
I made 7 runs on my 1976 honda goldwing, with the fastest pass of 133.8 mph.
The old record was 127.1 and it is now 130.5 mph.  I bumped it by 3 1/2 mph.
MPS-CF 1000 class.

Congratulations!

Sounds like you had a great time -- the record was icing on the cake.

Was noticing it looked rather hazy on the webcam shot.  Figured that was smoke.  More importantly I didn't see any rain and sounds like the salt was in great shape this year.

Fingers crossed it is as good (without the smoke) next year.  I certainly plan being there!

Gowing - Congratulations on your record! That is something to be proud of. You were running as MPS but the rules allow a lot more streamlining than the bike now has. For next year consider making a body for the bike and you may go another 10 mph or more.

Went in thinking it was going to be easy, but seized a piston on Sunday fixed for Tuesday set record and transmission locked up going into impound still got
measured and passed, my week was done with locked trany  :-( so bike 532 ridden  by Niel O. took my record away by 3 MPH I think, and no way for me to respond

Yes.  I know that I left a lot on the table.
I was also in the fuel class running 87 pump gas from my local Co-Op.

From the time I got on the salt and unloaded,  I never turned a screw on the bike, just got on it and rode.
It never leaked a drop, never missed a beat.

We'll see how the project evolves from here.

When do the BMST folks usually post the run logs and records?  Nothing on their site or FB page yet.

Good question.
I have not been able to find any info on the event.
Number of entries, records... nada.

I'm sure it will be posted - eventually.

As I used to run BMST (and hold 3 class records), I'm a little curious as to what is going on? No new posts since pre-race except a couple of photos of the banquet, no new records posted, and no run logs. Delvine? Drew? Anyone have any info?

Back in the days before instant communication (internet), we in Australia would have to wait three months for the American hot rod magazines to hit our newsagents shelves so we could read who did what speeds at Bonneville, just sayin
First Australian to ride a motorcycle over 200mph at Bonneville,,,

But seeing that we are now living in the internet age, I wonder what's up. I sent them an email.
