Goodyear wants 90 psi on the tires used by top fuel cars as they are ran at over 330 mph and you need the pressure to keep them on the wheel also the aero loads at 330+ are pretty high so the higher pressure works better. We use the 2904 on our lakester and since we are only in the 200+ speed area we run 70 psi with no problems also our front wheel loads are under 200 lb each and we have no aero loads. We did run some M/T 2.25 x 17 at one time and only ran 60 psi and had one come off of the rim at around 185. Best thing is to call Goodyear let them know your application and maybe they will give you a lower pressure or just run 90 psi and no problem. Be sure to have a good compressor as at 90 they leak pretty good, check between every run.
