The only ones I ever did for over 25 years were the workers who brought cars. I?m sure if there is a reason it maybe done in the pits especially if there was an item that needed to be completed before your inspection forms that had to be completed first; we told to come up and get an inspector hopefully the one who lead the inspection so the competitor would not need to go thru the line again. That was just being courteous and I know many of us did that.
