26-28" LANDSPEED TIRES NEEDED..

JUST MOUNTED A BEAUTIFUL SET OF ALLSTATES; ABOUT 40 YEARS OLD AND TEN PLY. AT 60 LB ONE OF THEM SPLIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TREAD. NEED 15
 {NOT FRONT RUNNERS; I HAVE PLENTY OF THOSE}     NEED 15" LANDSPEED TIRES. 26- 28" DIAMETER.  WHEELS ARE 3& 1/2 ; CAR WEIGHS 4800LB. 250 MPH FIREBIRD. ANY HELP APPRECIATED. ARE THEY AVAILABLE NEW? THANKS FOR YOUR TIME HELPING OUT. NOT HUGE HURRY; GOING TO WORLD OF SPEED.

Bob, here is what is made by Goodyear labeled for land-speed racing. Scroll down to page 8, or last page. Looks like only one is available in the sizes you state and it asks for a 4.5" inch wide rim, but states down below that width can vary 1" up or down." *** Rim width tolerance is plus or minus one inch from specified Rim Width ***" Goodyear contacts are listed below tire sizes on same page.

Summit had tires in stock. $760 each plus tax. Ordered them they said they had eight. Long as they get here. Talk about sticker shock!
