small problem with the PM's

Jon & Bob,

since the last big issue a small problem showed up.

before, it was that way....when someone wrote you a PM...this PM went not only in your incoming box of your member account, also a standard email was send to you,
so you knew that there is a message for you. Now as the standard email didn't show up anymore you only know that you got a PM when you log in.....

unfortunately I'm doing that not very often, so the message stuck unread for while im my incoming box.....

is there a chance to fix that....or did I have to activate in my account information something to reactivate this function.

Check Profile/personal messaging/ and make sure

Notify by email every time you receive a personal message:

is set to always.

it is set up that way.....just to be sure I done it now off and again on and saved the new configuration...hope it works....and thanks for the comment

FWIW I think it may be an issue the last update of SMF. I run an SMF forum and we have been having odd stuff happening with PMs too.

Well I got notified of your PM, so my guess your email provider might think it is spam... or the damn krauts are just censoring your mail...  :?  :-D  :x  :evil:  :roll:  :laugh:  :deal

nope, they are not in the spam box....and (I hope not) there no kind of censoring....

it is even worse....

there is a big war between German (European) and American provider....some of my friends in the USA have to start a other email account by a different provider than their standard provider, that we can communicate.....provider in both countries are blocking each other.....call it a perfect, peaceful, globale internet world....... :cheers:

Well, Peter Jack PM'd me, and it worked fine, I got a regular email telling me about it.  Does anybody else have problems besides Pork Pie?
