Goodyear vs MT front runners

I see that the MT front runners are a bit cheaper than the Goodyear's.

I'm sure people use both any opinions to help me decide which to buy.

To start with, in what capacity are you planning to use them.... There are folks that use front
runners front and back successfully.... how fast are you going to go....
You are going to get answers both ways....

We put 2 MPH on our record switching to smaller M&H tires on the front of a Street Roadster.  I don't know how frontal area works on a revolving tire, but the frontal area of each M&H was 57 sq. in. smaller that the Goodyears they replaced.  And the ribbed design gave me the ability to steer for the first time (I used to just wish).  But your results may certainly vary.

motorcycle streamliner

I designed the front end so i don't have to change it out until I get over 300.

Front runners are uses on funny cars up to 330 mph in 1/4 mile

I guess my question will the survive on the short course ( 3 miles ) time

Not sure their even using the 300 mph versions.

We ran several years with standard versions until goodyear made the 300 mph tire.

We had a time at a UTSFRA meet of 288 mph with a 279 exit in 1994 and 50lbs air

M@H are probably different now but we chunked one before 1994 and I couldn't believe how
thick the rubber was for a tire designed to go that fast.

There truly is a trick to making any tire high speed. Send them or buy them thru Nate Jones. Trimming extra rubber off makes them "high speed  if there is no rubber to come off in chunks. Back during the tire shortage days I inquired of a 380 mph streamliner driver as to why he was running tires that I recognized as being regular GY front runners as drive tires. He stated that you take the rubber off them, especially on the corners and pump them up to 80 lbs and no worries. :-)
