solid alloy sidecar wheels
« on: January 02, 2021, 11:38:32 AM »
Hi,
From reading both the BMST and FIM rule books i am still left unclear if a solid billet wheel instead of wheel and tyre is allowable for the speed trials, can any offer advice, this set up has been approved and run at well over 200mph at an SCTA event, cheers Ian

Hi Neanderthal
I can't pass any legitimate comment on the current rules, but feel sure that I have seen solid wheel sidecar liners run for records at BMST in the past.
You would get a much quicker answer if you emailed BMST technical directly. I don't think they monitor this forum very often.
Good luck
