To be in 'D' it must have had much more displacement than any Tempest-4.

  Before they had blown classes, a blower would up you two classes. An F motor would become D class.

Hey Jack, it gets better... that was all classes except streamliners.... so you could run a blower in a streamliner and stay in your engine size class...

There is another lakester for sale on racing junk... looks like G but no info.... the guy has a phone in his listing... last raced in 2010... so should not need a lot of updating...
