Back to 'CHAT'
« Reply #16 on: November 24, 2006, 07:26:27 PM »
I still have no chat. I'm thinking its a computer problem. I can click on 'CHAT' on the computer down in the shop and it kicks on and all LOOKS good. But after I lock up and come home to the comfort of my own space, on any given Tuesday around 8pm central, I get a faint blue screen with an out line, and the word 'chat' above it. As i pass the magic hand over the screen it says, "CLICK TO USE THIS CONTROL"   I click and then NOTHING happens.  ???????????
   Any ideas? I tryed restarting,
What could I be doing wrong?

           THANKS,         RICK

I was not getting on with my computer.  It would start to load and then hang.  I used the link Jon supplied and downloaded the latest Java software and now it works.  I had to do the same thing last week when I was at my mom's on her computer.  Have you tried that.

One other thing I would do is delete your cookies and then try it.  I think I had to also do that recently when Jon changed the chat format.

If you want to try it before next Tuesday PM me with a time and we can get on and see if it is all working for both of us.

c ya,

Sum

Sum, I had to right click to open it each time. After that all is fine. Hope you had a great trip. Stay warm over in Blanding.

Just when I perfected left click, you want me to learn right click.
Is this another one of you jokes ?
I am old and stuck in my ways and don't cotton to new stuff very well.
And another thing. what inspired the map makers to call anything BLANDING ?
If it was cold, why would they stop ?
The weather is off in Dago so I am going sailing later today.

I hope I don't screw this thing up before Tuesday.  Thanks for your help.
  Once again,,,,Sum,  you're a genius!
