Forgive me if this was posted here already. I did a search and couldn't find anything. The movie opened up a few weeks ago in California. I preordered the DVD. It was great.

I am certainly impressed by the quality of the image, sound and camera work. It's a marvelous way to "get lost on the Salt" for most of an hour. When you feel the emotion of Slim as he holds Nancy close while she waits for her pass it will really strike home if you have ever experienced the starting line. That short segment is the most dramatic exchange of compassion, without sound, I have ever seen.

Guaranteed chicken skin and wet eyes if you have any emotion in your body. No actor can portray that as well as they did because Slim has a lot at stake and he knows all the possibilities. An actor is getting paid for his part. Slim has a lot to gain but he could lose even more.

Both Nancy and Slim are winners and the film does an excellent job of showing that.
