One of my buddies there said they got 50MPH winds and driving rain, so they left the salt.  Keep your fingers crossed that the meet can continue!

Good morning from the salt. Unfortunately it is a lake out here and the event has been called. 

The information on the SCTA homepage says no racing today and they will reevaluate at 10 AM today.

Which information is correct?  It seems odd to cancel so early when salt conditions can change.

I just exchanged a few notes with Ron Christensen, who is out there.  Puddles on the course so probably no racing today, but yes there will be further evaluation at 10 - a coupla hours from now.

I see an SCTA Facebook post telling us that there will be no racing today and the 10 AM assessment will evidently be on the continuation of the event tomorrow.

My guess using what information I have.  Hope it's close to correct.
