Shootout a few years ago  - Nearburg, Nish, Speed Demon, Spectre.  Rocky went 394 in the Ack bike

Slim:  I guess you're right, but they all had an extra mile run-up!

We're done for the day.  Course 1 closed at 5 to move the equipment over a lane, and about the same time thej wind came up strong as a cross wind put things on hold - now we've given it up and shut it down for the day.

We'll be back tomorrow at 7 for return runs.  We could see some more astounding runs in the cool morning air on the brand new course.

C ya!

Darn! Same here. This is the first time since 2003 that I have not been at Speed Week and this year the streamliners are going faster than ever out there. I had to write off Speed Week because of a family wedding that conflicted. I doubt that World of Speed will be as historic.

Crap - sorry.  I shut off the stream when the course was on wind hold and we were pretty sure that nothing more was gonna happen.  I meandered over to the 200 MPH Club membership meeting - and when it was over I heard Ron talking on the radio.  Sure as heck, they were making some runs on courses 3&4.  I'll tell ya more about that in the morning if there are any good stories.

Record eturn runs start at 7, as usual.  There were quite a few in impound when we left -- Mike Kaehny didn't have a count for me.  I sure hope to have the qualifiers list in the morning so we can sty up with the numbers.

Peppermill $13.95 Prime Rib is next.  Later --

Thanks for the streaming guys. Good job. It is turning into an incredible event.

Me neither. So I sent the workforce home really early so I could listen to it in peace for a coupe of hours. I win, and so did all the lads.

Cheers all. I'll be listening in again later on this afternoon ( U.K. time )

Top right of a post, click on "Quote".  That gives a "Reply with Quote" function if you like.  Just be sure to type before "[quote" or after "[/quote]".

I can think of eight over 300 mph, but don't have accurate information (more of a car guy).  There are probably a few more.

Interesting?  Ron just sent a couple of pics from impound. The Turbinator team is working feverishly under the lights, prepping for the return run.

The Speed Demon is still covered and there's nobody there.
