I got the phone call at 9AM this morning from a pal working the salt about Danny's new record. I'm very happy for him and his team. It's incredible and awesome, and he deserves it a ton. Somewhere Mickey is looking down, proud as any papa can be!

What happened with the 757?  I had to head back to Boise, and left early at about 1100am.   Keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that there were no injuries.

Jack is doing well! He got banged up a bit and the car was on its lid when it came to a stop after a spin that turned into a tumble.  He was fully alert and coherent but went to the hospital to get a good check out as a precaution. I talked with CJ as she was leaving the salt right behind him to meet up with him at the U hospital and he was doing good.  The car will be back after some work over the winter.  Steve and the team are still out there and will be running the other 2 Camaros for the rest of the meet.  Jack is fine and the 757 Camaro will live to fight again another day.

Jon;

Your mic sounds fine this morning. That connector must have been the problem.

Sorry that Salt Talks was so sparsely attended. I decided to try World of Speed this year instead of Speed Week. I'll PM you later for a couple of T-shirts. You and Ron are doing a great job of keeping us informed.

Slim and Ron,

I’d like to thank you and your team for the stellar service of providing commentary to those like me living vicariously this week. Not quite like being there but an awesome distraction.

Might be there for World Finals. Keeping fingers crossed.

Thanks again.

Cheers, eh!  :-D

If the Speed Demon team backs up their record, do you think Danny will make more passes.

Has Speed Demon even qualified to make a record run? If so, in which class? And, what was their speed?

Speed Demon is in A/Blown.   Danny is in AA/Unblown.  I thought I heard Danny went home. Got what he wanted.  Speed Demon is qualified in their class.
