Keep in mind, every time you click that link you will get the latest and last photo taken by the camera. If you want to share it in an email or post the link to a specific photo (like when it snowed) you must first save the photo and rename it before posting it....

I made this mistake, and I'd point out something..... and a couple hours later, or the next day - it would be a different photo. It's extra work, but whatcha gonna do?

I might save 10 photos throughout one day, and have a record of the weather that day that I can check against my link to the nations weather radar. If I see it's raining on the salt - I check the weather map, and can tell pretty closely when the weather will clear. It's fun.

Well instead of a lake we now have the Bonneville mud flats with puddles.........
And Yeah, I just included the link rather than a photo when it snowed.

Having personally witnessed the huge amount of salt bergs last August I expect areas will be nothing but mud. Probably in the areas of the access road and pits.

Celebrating what will be my 51st year since I first wandered that way, I have learned to not predict what is unpredictable.  I get encouraged when they start dragging it, although that is not a prediction.

The mud flats lasted less than 48 hours. I happened to catch a morning view with the water coming down from the mountains advancing in a line across the area. Of course, this evening - it's wave city again.

Although there may be additional water (snow melt) off the mountains, there had been no rain. The lake seemed to dry rapidly and now recover. I suspect wind blowing water off and then back onto the track area. Still mud and still wet.

Agree- windy and definitely less water on the surface than this morning early. Seeing some exposed spots again. May come back with change in direction. But still looking brown, not white??? :x

Yeah, it's looking like a mud flat, not a salt flat.

We've known that the Bonneville Mud Flats has been coming for a while now but hopefully this look is just the brine dirt showing through the thin layer of wet salt!  :?

You realize of  course, salt and snow are pretty much the same color.
