Happy Birthday Doc. I hope you and Ray are not causing to much ruckus up in heaven.  :?

We miss you.

Now, Tom, you know only one of them is writing his own rules. The other's just taking notes on it.

Today would have been Freud's 92nd birthday. As you go through your day, try to think of just one fond memory you shared with him.

It's almost impossible for me to think of Freud without smiling; he brought lots of joy and laughter to the salt. Thanks for reminding everyone of this special day Gary.

Happy birthday Doc, we miss ya.

Since you brought it Up, Gus:  No doubt the best was you and Freud selling tickets at Salt Talks.

I can think of so many times and smiles, but that one takes the cake.  Thanks to both of you.

Happy birthday again Doc. Messaged your partner in crime for his birthday yesterday. Bret missed the swim meet this year as well.  Gary showed up at the 6 attempting to fill in for you, did a fairly good job for a kid. He was headed to SLC at about 9 am finally left the 6 about 530 or so. You did a good job with that one my friend. Keep your eye out unfortunately there?s a few more legends headed to you this last year. Y?all should be having some great racing and discussions.
I?d tell ya to stay outta trouble but I know better

I guess that's that for the Kilo.  Moved the course so many times this year that they were probably looking the fabled spot.  Maybe they thought the Kilo was an Hawailan fishing boat.

A photo Glen took ten years ago last week. He printed off a poster sized copy and sent it to me.

And THEN I started looking at it CLOSER . . .

2023-08-24_08-14-52 by Chris Conrad, on Flickr

There are countless photos out there Glen shared with so many of us - and as often as not, he would put some subtle touch of devilry on the print - as he did on the bumper of the Midget.

To Doc, my friend, the poet laureate of the salt - Freud, you remain sorely missed.

Gary, It was really nice to see you at the 6. Your father was really one of a kind. We had so many great times together on the salt, at the 6, the SLC hotel near the airport and the Northwest Reunions. I smile every time I think of him and the stories he would tell. RIP Doc you will never be forgotten
