Hi, Keith -
What you have in the pink picture is very similar to what I have in the Midget. Given the spaciousness of the 240Z, know that in an MG Midget, that I'm 6'5", I have big hands, and the netting Stroud uses is such that the possibility of getting caught up in it is remote. A smaller steering wheel may also help, if you're concerned.
Can't speak for Loring, but SCTA-BNI has no interest of any possibility of you getting any part of your body past the net without you intending to.
Mine connects at the forward position and at the top. Your front latch is almost exactly where mine is.
The top is "curtain rodded" with an attachment eye under the main hoop, and locks into the halo bar with a seat belt tongue welded to it. Put it in place, and make your final attachments at the bottom by pulling it taught and bolting it in place through the eyelets.
While Stroud is great to work with, get your dimensions right the first time. I wound up ordering two because - well - I didn't . . .
Can't remember the name of the woman on the phone at Stroud, but she asks the right questions and is really sharp.
