Awesome, I would have thought it would weigh more. Do you have a formula for how much weight you need on the drive tires to go 220?

Sabat, that car, in its current configuration, has already gone 224 mph for the record. It has longer legs yet.

Oh I'm sure, I've been following this car and Stainless' other ventures for a long while. Just wondering if he has a calculation for ballast, or if he just knows from lots of experience.

Cheers,
Dean

Dean, when the wheels slip I add weight... when they don't (the most common problem) I try to add HP...  it's a lot easier to add weight because the small motors usually don't over power the tires.   lol8
We carried about 200 lbs of ballast in the old car... front and back... Currently this one has about 100 in the front.. I did that to help keep steering authority.  This one is still heavier than the old car

No mate, we are still not allowed out.
We can apply for a special leave pass, but attending Bonneville is not a good enough
reason for the gubbinment.
 Next year will be big.

You moved back?  I thought you were hanging here for a while....

Well we are on the Salt, set up a pit... OK dropped all our shit after putting down a couple of tarps... Thanks to the Burkdoll's for saving us a spot next to the fast family.  We are on the second row at the 2nd entrance I think.
Inspection tomorrow

OK, the week started badly... first run the chute popped out of the tube as soon as he left the truck.... shredded a small part of the riser panel... Ben from DJ confirmed to the officials that it was OK... but that took most of the day.  Chute goes back to DJ for repair after the meet.
First full pass was a 209 at the 4, 5 and exit....
Add a little boost... 219 at the 4, 224 at the 5 225 exit I think
next run there was a little head wind.... 219 at the 4 and the 5... 221.954 red hat for Jon Amo... third time is a charm

Incidentally I need to add that record was set on Bockscar Day.... August 9, the 76th anniversary of the last nuclear weapon dropped in anger....

Huge congrats Bockscar Team and the pilot - Mr. Amo - I hope they have a red hat in your size: maybe wait a couple of days until the head returns back to normal (as I assume it is swollen with pride).

Pack up and off to the pub, SW2021 sorted then?
A Bonneville Lakester please barman.
Certainly sir; a lick of salt, a sip of gas and a twist of Lemming. More Lemming sir?
Just a squeeze.

A Squeeze of Lemming it is sir.
