It works now, thanks.

I don't know if it means much in this case but I was instructed to always run an odd and even tooth sprocket combo to maximize wear.

Yep, I would be concerned if it was a 18:36... but also a 19:38... I think you don't want the teeth on the same pins... so a 18:28 should keep the teeth on different pins... most of the time....  but if it pulls that one... I do have a 19  :naughty

OK, while looking for the chain video I found the one that made Johnboy jump as noticed in the film... just another dyno run but you can hear an issue... and see it a little

Somehow, I don't think that would have been entertaining at 200+ mph.

Mike, very true... but we learned on the dyno that the exhaust manifold needed to have the bolts safety wired... then we learned the flanges needed regular torqueing because they would bend when heated... and as Rex implied a ways back, maybe too much back pressure... then the manifold failed at the next dyno session when we were tuning E85.
I did say I thought we were at the limits of that turbo...  :?

So I am turbo shopping... Chain shopping... and probably adding a leg to the roll bar, not to make it stronger or safer, but to make it meet the wording in the rule book.

Less than 10 months left...

Well after inquiring what info is required for an engineering report on my roll cage, the tech chair answered

"The SCTA does not have a design requirement for the cage structure and no cage structure can be considered safe.
The rules only give minimum requirements for material and sizes for the tubing. All cages where the hoop tubes do not run continuous to the bottom rail must have at a minimum 5 tubes attaching to the shoulder bar.
This is the requirements of the rules and has nothing to do with the strength of the design. Showing with analysis that the  cage design is strong is not required as there is no rule to compare it to."

So I guess hacking into my cage and adding an additional bar that adds little to strength or safety... but another bar to be in rule compliance is my option.  I thought I was in compliance with the rules with 6 total attachments but I only have 4 attached to the shoulder bar... so they say I need 5 since my front bar does not run continuously to the bottom frame rail.
So I started doing that... it is a PITA but I plan to keep playing in their sandbox...  :?

James during his WF return run didn't done it either....but he still broke a barrier.....in km/h he went 400+........wow.....

Yes Pork Pie, both I blown records were in the middle mile... maybe we will get them faster next year... conditions this year were near perfect.

Sent you an email...

The 2 club hat stickers were given to me by Jeff "Trimmers" McVey... Hopefully they will survive the rework... if not we may need to redo a couple of them.  Yours is awaiting your signature.... Jon Amo also needs to sign his...
Above the bar is the original Bockscar, below the bar is the new Bockscar... one for each team member who got their hat.
Thanks Jeff, they look good...
