Found the following link by accident.  Seems someone in the UK is just about to try to break the 1906 steam powered record.

How fast did the Teapot/ Bradley go at Bonneville during Speedweek ?

Wouldn't hold your breath for this one guys. Project has been around since God was a boy and there has been no news news for a while. The website hasn't been updated for a while and I know for a fact that many if not all of the ex Thrust people have now departed the project. Charles Burnett intends to go it alone according to some.

As recently as mid-September Louise has said that engine tests have resulted in more power than expected. Contact her.

This is the latest craze.  Since website filtering is stopping spambots, some marketing companies now hire humans to spam sites.  At first it seemed it was just foreigners with broken English, now some are hiring only those who are fluent in English.

There are people willing to trash other people's work for a quick buck, so I can't imagine it's going to stop anytime soon.
