Thanks for the info Buzz, Any idea on what engine they were running? I gather it is a 750 twin?
Any news on the 5 injured parties from the incident?

Good luck everyone for a smooth and safe remainder of the week.

Supercharged 750 nearly all billet made by Dave in his workshop all done on manual machines no cnc.
The Diamond Mob on the old Odgie Pink Triumph to their respective class record too.
Looks like the boys are on a mission to make up, for the all the hard work rain offs & failures.

I see the pix but haven't found details. New engine for Joint Venture or just new exhaust/turbo arrangement?

GW

It's a new engine, but I believe they actually made the change last year.  In place of the Detroit 16V-92 is what I think is an MTU-2000.

Hay, kiddos -- it's Thursday morning out here on the salt.  The steam is running -- just silent right now, sorta.

Ron Christensen said he checked out the "new" long course (new yesterday) and it's not pretty right in front of us - where we'd seen so many big roostertails and spins and such yesterday.  Salt not very thick - 1/2 - 3/4" and way loose.  THIS could be why so many had issues yesterday.  Ron mentioned chunks of tire all about the place, too.  We'll assume all has now been cleared

George Poteet is NOT running - didn't go to impound last night  Ran fast, got the trophy (again!  Congrats), put it away.  With the C motor, no less!

Hey Slim,

You have some music over streaming the broadcast. It sounds like a seek music setup.

Slim,

It appears to be a loop of a promo for soda box units. It completely block out the broadcast.

Thanks for the info gents.

Now I am sitting here listening to the audio stream with the Salt webcam on my screen. Wow! I just need a sun lamp and a snow cone and it'll be just like being there.

We're down to one combo course at the salt.  Rookie course closed maybe an hour ago, and the short course just hosted the final vehicle there for this event.  What remains ain't great -- Rob Freyvogel just ran and sounded nice - 'til he got into the sand traps.
