All - There is a nice review on the SPEED TV website of Landspeed Louise Noeth's book "Bonneville - the Fastest Place on Earth". Gregg Leary gets the facts pretty straight, touching on the famous driver names and their accomplishments on the salt flats. It doesn't sound like he has actually been there, but the enthusiasm seems genuine. Possibly he spent too much time with the Hooters Girls to find the time to make it out to Speed Week (read his lengthy bio at the end of the article).
Anyway, it's good to see some mainstream acknowledgement of the Great White Dyno, and this probably comes as a prelude to SPEED's upcoming coverage of the BUB Meet Motrocycle Speed Wars. I was a little diappointed that Dave Despain only gave the Ack / BUB / EZ-Hook battle a five-second mention at the beginning of Sunday's Wind Tunnel. Hmmm....maybe we all should jump on the 'phones next Sunday and talk about the WOS!
