I'll go a step farther and tell you that you should not just vote, but vote for the good candidate -- not the one that's a jerk and wants to do stuff that'd do goofy things.  We'll vote tomorrow - and thereby retain the right to tease or bitch or brag about the winners and losers.  Those of you that don't vote -- you won't be allowed to complain.  Why not?  Because you didn't bother to vote, and that means you forfeit your right to vote.

Voter #85 at the Skandia Township hall this morning -- 10AM.  With less than a thousand residents in the township, and therefore maybe 600 voters -- that's pretty good.  In with the good guys, out with the crappy ones. Unless the good ones are already in the office -- in which case I hope they maintain their status.

Going in right after work.

I have my lucky coin in my pocket, the flipping of which will determine the fate of the free world.

I'm not really this cynical - I just wish that the candidate's minions and financial backers would quit assuming I'm stupid.

After tonight, I can turn off my answering machine.

One of the ways that I make money for PepperoniBros is being a deputy county clerk and working as a troubleshooter for the touch screen voting machines that practically no one uses. My beat is the south coast, a beautiful, remote, thinly populated area, that is a joy to behold. Good duty, and I can make a few bucks to put in the racing account, now bone dry since we bought that lakester.

Done!

My problem with early voting is- what happens if two days before the election my candidate is revealed to be a complete crook? If I voted for him two to four weeks before that, I'd want to take that vote back, but I can't.

I thought that today's mail would be a few less than the 2" of candidate junk we have been receiving. No such luck! Hope tomorrow is better. Voted at the school down the street, incumbents NO, minority names NO. Let your heart be your guide.
