Winds are gusting from at least 10 up to 18, and competitors are being advised before they decide whether they want to run.  The faster vehicles -- bikes and cars, both -- are demurring to run (although here come the Ferrari).

Here's my list, best I can do......... all wheel driven and over 400 not necessarily a record.

Tom Burkland, Donald Campbell, Charles Nearburg, George Poteet, Bob Summers, Al Teague, Don Vesco, Nolan White, John Cobb, Mike Nish, Amir Rosenburg (sp), Mickey Thompson, and now Danny Thompson.

Feel free to add others....

Wow!  For those of us who are counting ... Danny Thompson becomes only the 13th person over 400 mph (wheel driven of course).

Do you have that list handy? We were talking about that a few weeks ago trying to name them. It was stated that someone surely has a list already.

John Cobb
Mickey Thompson
Donald Campbell
Bob Summers
Nolan White
Al Teague
Don Vesco
Tom Burkland
George Poteet
Charles Nearburg
Mike Nish
Amir Rosenbaum
...
and ...
Danny

How is the Tricky Dicky list  different than Mikes?

All I hope is that Danny gets a chance to make a return run.

I've moved the laptop to the car so we don't have the printer noise and Ron and me taking turns farting coughing and talking.  I'll have to plug in the power supply sooner or later, and since it's a vibrator-type inverter it might add some noise.

Skip Hedrick's car just went past the line on the way back from the mud at the end of the long course.  I suspect some investigating the chute system will be done.

Hope it finally is sounding okay and settled down.

... he still has no blowers and am guessing he will have at the shootout...
??? There's been nothing on Danny's website indicating any intention of forced induction. Somebody know otherwise?

Danny's streamliner is built as a naturally aspirated Fuel. The only forcing is done by the intake design and 400+ mph.......

Awesome Job Danny  And on a 5 mile course. Hope he is going to be at the Shootout.

Well prepared and thought out program yielded immediate results! Car had good bones to start with and apparently Danny's updates were spot on.

Not only is he the 13th, officially, but he is the first Father/Son to do it. Rick and Nolan White came close though.

I'm hanging in Poland for a while but checking updates when I can. Thanks for all posting here and thanks to Pork Pie and all who post pictures for the rest of us when we cannot attend.
