I met him once at Bonneville.  The conversation was enjoyable but far too short.  R.I.P.Ray.
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

Ray will be missed by a lot of people who never met him, but found the life of landspeed racing in his photographs. Through his post and pictures I felt like I knew him well.  God speed, Ray.

Ray's photos sure made me feel like I knew him very well. I never had the pleasure to sit down with him in person. Ray's photos, and his efforts helped many people, myself included, make travel arrangements with the salt conditions last season. He will be missed.

Here's Ray in 2010 after a hard day catching a few ZZZZZ"s in the Salt Cat pit.

That's so sad.   According to an email he sent me a few days ago he was sicker'n a dog and had stopped in WA on his way to pick up a 29 Model A pickup that was going to become his press vehicle.  His photos from the Grand National Roadster Show must have been his last.  We'll all miss his great photography!

BRN.........I'll try to pick up some of the slack.  He had the advantage living just about 125 miles

from Lands End. By the time that Target550 has a place to run we will have the websites operational.

Now I need to find someone to take his place as web elf.

Do you think chin whiskers and shaved head are mandatory?
