Who cares.
It was paid for with tax money and where else are those worthless people going to get paid that good ?
If Chris Craft stayed in the boat business we would all be better off.
The America's Cup is a better investment.
Are we still racing or trying to figure where to get the money ?
Stick with the important stuff like National Pride and I am sure something else will occur to me.

certain things will always be measured in inches and to those that it matters the length of those inches will always be of their own certification , time will never be metric no matter how long you wait and to be franc it wouldn't be up to us to decide it's length anyway.......as for the space stuff I know some pretty good concreters and tilers, they're not the tax type
Few understand what I'm trying to do but they vastly outnumber those who understand why...................

How long until this record is ratified? Similiar to FIA, up to 10 years or maybe never?

My FIA certificate was in my hands within 30 days.
I think Uncle Wally kinda pushed it along.
It might be related to politricks.
Do Ya think ?

Ratification etc

The MSA process is one of assembling a small group to check that all the paperwork is acceptable and that the officials have signed off on all aspects - track surveying, vehicle technical and eligibility, times and speed calcs.  Then it passes before the Council.  Just timed by the meeting dates.

Don't get me started on the FIA 'thing' - speed of approval is dictated by the National representatives getting all matters correct first (not Paris).

Jack - the late John Beckett and I were homing in on the worldwide short course record body but his speed racing and my organisation work was slowing the progress.  This could be done then the USA could take on Sweden, Britain, Germany etc. ........ and you do not have to measure in kph - though the larger figures do help in bragging rights!

Set up the event as a model making sure the rules are not just the local flavour
but consider there is more to the World that you can see from your flat spot.
Lead by example.
Make it work so the easiest thing is to adopt it and soon they will have it also.
If you start with asking questions and permission, that is as far as you are going to get.
A Roadster class might play good in some areas but is not Worldwide.
What is a Lakester if you don't have a Dry Lake, a boat ?
The GT and Coupe variations are more universally under stood as are the Open wheel and Liner.
Even the bikes could be a lot easier and simple to administer (this is where I could say a nasty)
if you took the local personalities out of the mix and looked beyond their limited view.
Basically you need to take a leadership position first that is configured so the rest can follow and soon they will.
Remember it has to be so the Rebels from down under can take the best Japan has to offer and beat the Brit,
so the American can take them all out.
Hell , even the Germans can be understood if you have something they can translate.
The madder you make the rest of them , and they are not denied the chance to beat you with some silly local policy,
 the better I like it.

When we are all racing to the same standard I see a lot more things being raised around the bar.

It's a home-built system I believe, using a DTA ECU, an intercooler sprayed with water and possibly water (alcohol?) injection.

The water system failed on the return run for a 229 with a 247 average.
He has served notice.

That bike must be making some BIG HP numbers.  I don't know much about bike aero, but it doesnt look as good aero wise as a lot of the ones running over here.

Jon I hope you noticed "black is fast".

That's typical for rocket scientists.  Give them an inch and they take a kilometer.
