Many thanks to everyone that has gone out of their way to keep us informed and especially Jon, Ray, and Rick too.

I feel sick to my stomach, but there is no beating Mother Nature.

A big "Thank You" is deserved for everyone who has been sharing information.

When I started reading some of the unofficial information regarding cancellation, I figured it was correct, but just not 100% official yet.

Since the SCTA BNI site stated in no uncertain terms that their site would be the first to post official information, I kept checking back with their site until it was confirmed.

Time to start planning for next year.  Elmo is too far for me to respond to, and the Ohio Mile is already booked up for this weekend.

I think I'll go out for a pizza and a beer.

Steve.

There was quite a bit of sarcasm in Slim's post, since SCTA hadn't updated their site.  Don't quit posting, Rick.  We need all the correct info we can get.

Rick, Slim was making a joke about the SCTA web site, not you.

Yes, Rick -- I'm sorry it looked like I was scolding you.  Please see my post #134.  I didn't doubt you but thought it'd be a good chance to act a bit goofy.  I guess I'm too good at that.  Apologies. :-)

Marlo has already unloaded the tire chains, the snow boots

and the deicers.

The heated seat in the streamliner has been replaced with the summer seat.

The gifts for the snow plow drivers in the Blue Mountains will be returned.

Just gotta have all the bases covered.

At least we won't miss the church Sausage Fest this year.

See ya next time.

what about the standby list? those usually open up after the first day, when people break or run their number and turn it back in to next competitor in line...

Somebody needs to make an official decision, my nerves can't take it anymore. This is like lighting the fuse on my cannon that is longer than it needs to be, the suspense is killing me!

Since WF has been canceled is there a chance you could make it to the rain date for the Shootout?

Anything is possible... there are a few issues though we would need to work through.

As for the Mike Cook Shootout being postponed or cancelled -- there's no word to me yet.  Mike Junior and Mike Sr. both have said they would use landracing.com as the offocial outlet for updates and news like a cancellation, so in this case -- no news is still good news.  Stay tuned.

That sucks.

I am glad they gave us good advanced notice.

As much as it costs for the gas, the race cars, the hotels and a whole crew taking time off work, there's just no point unless we have good salt.

Just have to wait for next year.
