Sparky is one very generous guy who isn't waving the " at Look at Me" flag when he helps other racers.
After my massive fuel vapor explosion on the start line last year I was physically, mentally & financially done for the year. It's one thing to build a big liner out of a small checkbook over time but I knew going in that the real hard part would be affording to run it.
Sparky contacted me after the big bang & offered to help me with a small donation & I reluctantly accepted. I'm that guy that helps everybody else & feel a bit uncomfortable when that help is incoming. Let me tell you, his scale of small is a lot bigger than my scale of small!
So the liner is coming back together & the sheet metal company down in Utah is on their second attempt at forming the radius panels. I have most of the straight panels from the other company in Idaho on the chassis & I'm working my way through the charred wiring.
Sparky, thankyou for your very generous donation to one of the little guys with a big dream.
  Sid.

Sid, I felt just like you did but a long time ago I sold a new car to an old guy and he was overly generous so I tried turning him down.
His words were "accept any gift in the same manner in which it is given". You take Blessings away from the giver by not accepting.

I think we're all kinda independent and want to get by on our own but life has a way of levelling things.
I gravitated to older guys as a kid not having a father. They helped on good advice and other things. I remember each one and what he did for me.
I try pass it on. I'm the freebie guy in my area. Small jobs you just can't charge for and I put myself in the same position of the needy. As a kid I broke my MX bike's frame.
They said to see Fred. I had no money but I needed that tiny tube welded. He fried it in seconds. No charge!. I was willing to be his gofer just for that small gesture. He saw it in my eyes when I walked in that I never had bucks. 10 years later I go on deployment to the border and Fred was my RSM. I paid him back. :-D :-D

I prayed and you guys all stepped up to the plate. Prayer is the breakfast of champions. I can name names but I'm stupid when it comes to this situation. Some guys want to remain anonymous.
I have many to thank for this unwavering support and I should tell. These are good men helping a total stranger in Africa.

Sparky doesn't give up!!!. He's on another level God Bless him.✝✝✝🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I'm Blessed and truly thankful for all the help you all give. From getting my race sabotaged by competitors to being helped by guys overseas who I've never even had a phone call with is
mind blowing. The land speed racing community is definitely unique and my dream is to make your investment worthwhile.

Progress is good. Got the seat mounted in the monocoque.

When I say no one other than me has worked on this liner is true except for the one day we pushed the chassis outside for a few photos.

I had a battle getting the seat mounted and I hope I can see over the chassis. There's a Carbon bulkhead out back with 2 heavy duty drilled and bushed tabs on the seat that locate it.
In front I have an Aluminium plate I formed that bolts to the seat and floor. The seat has a steel spreader plate with anchor nuts bonded. I drilled multiple holes for adjustment because
I don't have a helper. I didn't need to adjust. It's in and you can lift the whole monocoque by the seat.

The foot, leg area looks small but I'm Clay Millican size and I can get out in about 5 seconds.

You guys always steer me in the right direction.
My tailpipes were too close to centre and Tom and Sid both told me.

I first swapped left to right and got them away from centre.
I left it as good. Tom said swept back is the answer.
I'll get around to it at some point I thought.

Yesterday I had some time so I had a look.
This was way too easy. I loosened the V bands and got the pipes vertical.
After that some laser work and the trusty old white marker.
All I had to do was rotate the tubes. Done. After marking I put each one on the big saw and it cut straight.
I welded one up, refitted and they are swept back!.
I ran out of tig electrodes so I'll fry the second one fully when my new 2.4mm tungstens arrive tomorrow.

Check how I earned the money to pay customs!!!!. Gate work for the neighbour.😂

SPARKIUS MAXIMUS!!!.

God Bless you Sparkius.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝✝✝✝✝
Thank you so much. If the photo is a little blurry it's because I was shaking.
You're batting 1,000. One awesome guy and it's true "everything is bigger in Texas" especially your heart.

Now we have the good stuff. Thank you.
