Bearing collars for the differential, flanges for the exhausts and some stuff to make my own V band clamps.

$110 is about R2,000. I have Petersen Publications here I bought for 99c RSA that were $2.95 in the 70s. That's how strong our currency was.
When I tell people I played hockey and was raised by a bunch of Canadians they think they were a bunch of dirt trackers from BC but all you would have
had to check who the fittest guys were at the beginning of the regular season in North America. Those boys were earning big bucks here in the offseason.

We have the flu here Jerry. Even the recluse is not immune!!!. It's a real African variety. The strong stuff. I'm man down. Maybe I need the break?. 😂😂😂
My best buddy is a roll of toilet paper right now.

Yeah but I'm a recluse!!!!!.😂😂😂😂
At least you're also getting better. Thank God.🙏🏻🙏🏻

I hung the rear end sorta but sans the lower control arm.
It's all looking good and I need to move it 10mm left.

These rear wheels are industrial and they will make a NASCAR wheel changer rethink his fitness.
Most say that looks good but no one ever asks how one guy who weighs south of a buck fifty go the dang thing up there?. I'm not talking about the wheel.😁

Things like how will I get this lump in there never come up. It just happens. Been solo for so long now it's second nature.

One more side on.
I'll fit the big wheel studs after heat treat on the axles.

I'm thinking after I get all the body mounting tabs welded on I'm ready for paint.

A few more progress pics.
I had these collars made years ago and also got Urethane bushings done.
I wanted to hang the differential so I drilled 2 slotted holes in the top tie plate
and found some threaded bar that's a sliding fit in the bushings on the top chassis rails.

I cobbled this thing together and bolted it in place. I moved the rear end left 10mm and it measured equal along the chassis outside tubes.
I tightened everything and then adjusted the existing tie rods to length.
The left side will be hooked up later.

The thing is straight. Up, down, forward and back.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I measured from so many angles and on both sides even with the laser and I'm calling it good.
How do you get this lucky when you're making stuff up as you go?.

This is nuts!!!!. There's not a single drawing for the chassis. I went the Sid Gyde route.
He said lay your junk on the floor and use chalk. Sid, you were 1" OFF?????????. 😂😂😂
Awesome my mate. Thank you.

The last wishbone to go in is the lower unit that holds sideways and forward and back movement with the other 5.
I've got to get in under the chassis and remove some skin. I don't want to weld the mounts to 1.5mm plate.
This just got serious fellas!!!. I'm seeing some light.

Mr 1" off here M8!
How much suspension travel do you have & does it have anything to eliminate body roll?
Body roll in a narrow track liner will induce yaw then you will find yourself chasing it with steering inputs that could get out of hand.

I've been at this build for so long you probably won't remember what you told me about shocks?.
I know you said no shock on the planet can rebound effectively at the speeds required and the anti roll bar would create issues so I went with the rigid set up.
The shocks lying on top of the chassis shouldn't be there. They are 2,000 Lb units off the old F2 "wing cars" with skirts. I used them as hangers to try set the ride height before I had the tubes welded.
BTW, there was almost a huge fight here on Easter Sunday. The cousin of that bad guy in Sacramento is my "brother in law". First he turned up unannounced at the gate, honked the horn and was shouting. Easter is my time for reflection so I turn the phone off and don't receive visitors. The sign on the gate says "VISITORS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY" big as Texas but the fool never called his sister before coming over and I was home alone. The live in gardener told him we were at church. We go to Mass at different times because the dogs can't be left alone.

When she got back he walked into the TV room where I sleep and had an "opinion". The history with this family is not good. This guy, the aviation sheet metal guy asked for space in my shop in 2000 because his hangar space was cancelled. He offered me 30% of the profit on a Gulfstream door he had to skin. Then he didn't have money for Alclad so he borrowed money from me, did the job and disappeared. If he said I'm in trouble, broke and need help I would have given him the money and been done but he came here to lie!!. I'm trying to be a good guy and avoid confrontation.
I don't even remember what he said but I went from lying on my back to airborne and coming down from the ceiling. His sister yanked him and said run. He flew out the door. Short story is he eventually comes back with his sis intervening. It was over the Sacramento guy. The packages were too heavy yada yada yada so I had the box of stuff Sparky bought from Summit the second time. I gave it to him and he said it isn't heavy at all so the big hunk of burning love from Ca is a jerk plain and simple. If you can't do something just say no.

Sid, I got the Bonneville program and the two patches brother. Thank you so much and I'm sorry I caused you and Sparky headaches. Apparently the guy from America wanted R500 just for transporting a book and two patches. My missus dealt with him and I was out of the loop because she needs me outside of prison.

I'm a sweet kid but my dark side isn't like everyone else's. When you grow up with a narcissistic, physically abusive widow, get beaten at home, in the hood and at school by teachers and pupils you'll go three ways. You'll be a wimp for life, become a drug addict/alcoholic or get hard.

I read the room better than anyone and can pick the bullies in order of rank, spot the storytellers and operators in 30 seconds. I'm not aggressive but if you poke me there won't be a pushing match. You'll sleep. These two South African born guys are just like the people I grew up avoiding. Don't think I never wanted to go see the guy from Sacramento at his mom's house?. I did but it wasn't the Christian thing to do. I try hard to avoid drama and I was close but the missus has learnt how to keep me out of trouble.

You guys all help me with everything. Packages, advice, motivation, inspiration and more packages.
I'm sorry I got Sid and Sparky into this mess. I guess when you're down you grasp at straws and only see the upside. I trusted a guy I don't know and should have known better. This is on me for a judgement call. A BAD one!!!.

When I call Spiritual Warfare people think I'm a loon but when a bad guy arrives unannounced on Easter Sunday after a 12 year absence and gets lippy there's only one answer!!!.
I'm not going to be thrown off my game. This liner is the most awesome thing to ever come into my life.
God Bless you all and thank you for everything.✝✝✝🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I see we're back to the Soap Opera again.

Just reminds me of the shit I had yesterday . . . takes some time and I don't need to share it.

Stan, not a single buddy here in SA.
I'm lonely and frustrated. I'm a recluse too so I vent here!!!. 😂😂😂

It was my Birthday yesterday and I never got one call or even a WhatsApp. The missus asked so I said "Now we know I'm doing something right".
All the "friends" were just users who added no value.
I have 4 dogs, a good woman and parts of a long car here. Nothing better. I'm living the dream brother.

The local rip off artists that sell turbo stuff wanted 800 bucks for V band clamps from China!!. I decided to do some research and it turned out way better than expected.
The guy I approached didn't have what I needed but turned out to be an awesome guy. He's going to supply everything else I need in the form of clamps especially the rubber coated units we use to hold AN lines and cabling.

I found a company called Truck Busters who had V band clamps. Cheap as chips and made in Germany. They laughed when I mentioned China.
I did have to get in the car and go 10 miles up the road. Freaking nightmare, South Africans can't drive.
It was worth it. The clamps are awesome and they are going to help with a truck oil filter and remote mount. Things have a way of just working out.
God is too good to me. I'm Blessed.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝✝✝

You all know my financial situation.
It sucks but I get special help.

Tell me if this is coincidence?.
I'm out of Argon and need 2 grand for a refill.
I've got about a ton of steel offcuts built up over years so I call the scrap guy Nathan.
He pays 2 bucks/Kilo. I figured the cash from the scrap will cover the gas.

Yesterday Gillian the neighbour across the road asks if I might be interested in reopening a pedestrian gate that was welded shut on the sliding gate at her mom's house?.
Mom lives 2 doors down and she's really old so I figure "freebie". I check it out and it's not really a big deal.
The gardeners will bring the big gate over and I'll do the work.

I tell Gillian I was going to do the job for free but I'm out of gas.
All she said was "where do I pay?". 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thanks BIG GUY IN THE SKY!!!. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝✝✝✝❤❤❤

I hung the tailpipes with the new V band clamps.
Good thing I haven't finished the welding because they both need tweaking but they're bolted and I can measure properly now.
