All the areas of possible belt friction were nicely rounded off and bonded mounting points are accessible.
Mounting the seat in the tub should be pretty straightforward. It's a good one and I'm pleased.
More photos to follow.

She needs some fettling and the white bits are left over Peel Ply strands.
As always you get a few spots you need to fill but these are minimal.
This is a tough piece at 3/4" and multiple layers of Carbon and glass over Aluminium and Nomex Honeycomb.
I'm pleased. Tomorrow is fitment day.

When that's done the rear end housing is getting primer and colour.

That is a pretty complex piece, Mike.

I had a mould here for a seat that was for some CanAm series they had here with Buick V6s.
Some guy bought a hangar full of cars from the US that were obsolete. They needed seats.
South Africans are big boys so they needed big seats.

The mould I made sat here for years and I only made 2.
I used that and then once I had a shell I narrowed it.
I used offcuts of honeycomb to back the Carbon with.
It's better than a poured seat. I have no idea why but it justs fits me.
Overkill is your friend right?. This is over the top but I love it.
Installing today. Pics later. BTW, I tried hooking up with you on FB but no response. They blocked me a while back.

I built it way back because I wasted a bunch of Epoxy and the Styrene beads like the single seaters use.
I was the driver in the 80s and had a crew to get me situated. The little woman is not built for moving stuff around in the cockpit.
It was 2 attempts before I called it.
Took the mould and DIY.
It's cool.

I was blocked for no reason too so I created a new account. I know neither of us used foul or other language so I guess the moderators get to choose!.

Patti is 5 feet nothing and an argon tank out weighs her by 50#'s...I do not even ask for help.  Carry on, JB

....🤔 I did ask her to operate a floor jack...ONCE...You would think that at some time whilst acquiring two Master's Degrees in medicine she would have learned the difference between "in" and "down".... But nooooooo😂

This little woman has been servicing her cars since 89.
Even plugs and brake pads but on the Chevy Spark she'll need help. The plugs are under the plenum!!!.😂😂😂 The last effort on the old one went south. The capture nut in the plastic became uncaptured!. I refuse to work on any modern car.  Particular about what gas and oil she uses and the daughter of "Blink Piet" AKA Shiny Peter. He would get under his car with a toothbrush.
She even covered my F2 seat with Suede which was a crazy achievement. She's no help on the composites though. On my first ever job I laid the Carbon in a hood mould
for a Countach and being a rookie I tried cutting to size. It went in skew so she gladly tried to straighten it up. First big fight we ever had. I throw away 2" strips these days.

Jerry, I'm operating on what I have material wise. The miracle of all miracles. How this works is crazy. I find stuff I forgot I have. I'm covered on most products especially abrasives and cutting.
Klingspor is awesome. If you add up all the cutting discs I've used cost wise it runs into thousands. On Monday I reached out to my clamp sponsor. I needed small clamps for airlines. He's out of stock but sent boxes of every other size up and the smalls are in production. Boxes and boxes. You could open a hardware store here. Turnstar is a 2 day turnaround shop on anything I need. A paper drawing with correct dimensions is good enough. The olg girl got a call that some laser cut plates were ready and she was up the road so she popped in. Craig said "careful because they're still warm". This guy is unreal. The other guy strung me along for 16 months. God works in His time, not ours.

My hands, unwavering generosity from you guys and Divine Intervention. My build in 10 words.

I am impressed that you can post about something you own, As opposed to something you used to have.  😁

You're all God fearing men, right?.
This is how He works.

I'm broke as anyone who follows the "Soap Opera" knows.
Sparky is one generous guy and he sends packages "to see me reach my dream". Thank you brother. You're part of this miracle.🙏🏻✝

My neighbour Gillian wants some modifications made to her sliding gate so I look at it and it's maybe 2 hours work.
I say freebie but she says no way. She banks R2,600 into my account as a gesture of thanks.
UPS sends me the bill for customs on the package a day later. R2.457.55.
The bank fees left me with R2,540. Some small change left over.
You tell me this isn't Divine Intervention at work?????.
I'm a Blessed man.
