G'day World of Speed Racers and Spectators
THE RACING IS ON ! ! ! !
I just received a call from Gary at the USFRA to let me know the Bonneville Salt Flats are in good condition and we are still going racing this coming weekend, Sept 7th through the 10th. USFRA president Jim Burkdoll drove out to the salt this morning (Saturday) to inspect the racing conditions after this past weeks thunderstorms. The race course is dry (he called from the 5 1/2 mile mark) with no puddles and a good optimistic 10 day weather forecast with only a slight chance of rain in the next couple of days followed by dry weather and high temps (high 8's and low 90's) the remainder of the week and through the race weekend. Here is the link to the Bonneville Salt Flats 10 day forecast so you can follow the flats weather:

The USFRA's report and recommendations can be found by going on-line to
www.saltflats.com with their results on the salt's condition reported on the first page. To see their direct report, which will be posted later, watch the above link this afternoon.
We should be racing by this time next Saturday. Drive safe and may the Speed be with you.........................
