The bike seemed to run out of fuel and I guess he didn't get it sorted out because I couldn't find him Sunday.

I heard the start motor gave up so he decided to go home but you're right, that thing sounded amazing.

This morning the results of the meet were confirmed. Follow the link at www.scta-bni.org and you will now know the whole story. My thanks to Pam Manghelli for her patience with me and Ed Safrick for his not questioning my change requests.

The June results will not be here until the correct ones are on the SCTA website.

Thanks everyone on the board for their understanding that I must be retrained each new season,

Did anyone get any pictures or video of Harry Hoffman's blown fuel "v8" motorcycle?  That thing is nuts!  Harry is a prime example of the kind of innovation and ingenuity that makes our sport what it is.
Nathan, here's a shot from the SCTA website. Wayno

The cormputer at home didn't want to work with me to put these results/records from last weekend's event at EM into this topic, so I'll give it a go here at work.  These have been audited and their posting is approved by the SCTA, and they were provided by Dan Warner.

Fred...yes he does..if he doesn't run over 250-260+ at Bonneville I will be very surprised   His bike went in the 230's on it's first pass and took one of those Noonan records   I would bet he could run in the 245 range at ElMo with his bodywork in the 1K classes

no nitrous on this bike. :-D I did try some newer fuel from ERC that we ran at bonneville last year and its obviously working pretty good.
We are just as surprised by those runs since our new motor isn't ready yet. The only thing we changed from last year was Bondo. Lots and lots of Bondo. It's much more affordable than horsepower. We have a few more tricks to try next week and the new goal is to beat the blown fuel record unblown. Just a personal satisfaction thing. That record is 224.577mph. I know it's a long shot and we might have to wait for the new motor but I think it's possible.

Jim

Jim,

Way cool either way and even more impressive , I ran a 234 top speed at Bonneville unfaired blown 1000 and set a record at 226, if you bring that beast to Bonneville you will go very fast..what did Ralph run faired unblown?  242+?

Thank you, John! Ralph did hit 242mph and set the record at 239mph and we were really surprised by that one, too! Ralph and Ted Silver have hundreds of hours squeezing the new turbo into his 1000 since we obviously dont want to budge that fairing one millimeter. It's really nice work and they are both very skilled creative craftsman. We are definetly bringing the beast to Bonneville to try and finally get my Red hat and this feels like the year that it'll happen. I also think your predictions for Ralph are spot on but I'm obviously hoping he goes faster than Al Lamb. We never know until we get there. See you next week!

Jim, like I said before if you guys need rods or pistons let me know, Wossner Pistons sponsors many top teams and would enjoy working with you and Ralph with your pursuit of speed.

Any info on how it went today at the lakebed.
